An interesting thread on the Farnborough form about new regulations for 3G pitches which may mean commercial and community use is severely restricted. Some clubs may face some very large bills as replacement dates loom.

Yes I had already read it . Let’s see how clubs react, ther could be some expensive bills coming up! . There are some sensible comments there , looks like floodlights would be the better option.
I see Scarborough are also having issues.

Unlike grass pitches the costs when things go wrong can be very prohibitive. Harlow had to stop playing the other year when a contractor who was laying a new pitch messed up. Had to drop a few leagues. Grass pitches take a lot of ongoing work but a bit of a safer bet in some ways.
Also we’d have score against Slough if it wasn’t for the bounce of the artificial pitch!
