Fisher Athletic won through to Conference South against a Hampton side without several of their regular first-teamers; Matt Lovett (suspended), Dean Wells & Andy Morley both injured and didn’t have the resources to beat a side that finished 10 points above them. Fisher got off to an early start when Watts lobbed Lovett’s replacement, Bullivant, in the 7th minute. The weather turned cold and continual rain made for difficult playing conditions. Lake and Yaku both missed chances to level the score but couldn’t supply the final finish. Two goals in a seven-minute spell during the second half, put Fisher on top. IN the 63rd minute, Lenny Piper pounced on a loose ball in the centre and passed to Hamid Barr, running into space, his shot out of reach of a diving Bullivant. The third goal was made by Steve Watts with a cross from deep in the left corner, Chris Piper, unmarked, had an easy header.
