The visitors took an early lead with a Sorba Thomas header. Hampton responded very quickly, Deadfield heading in Miller-Rodney’s cross just a few minutes later. There was no further score in the first half, Walker denying McDonnell with a leaping save from his free-kick. The second half saw many changes to both teams. As Hampton tired, Boreham Wood took advantage with two late goals. Ten minutes from the end, Piere Mingoia, in space, lashed a shot past substitute goalkeeper, McCorkhall. With just two minutes left, one of the visitor’s triallist turned and shot to give them a comfortable win.
