Both teams struggled with the blustery conditions and it wasn’t until midway during the second half that Hampton settled themselves into the match. Kabamba and Diarra both had chances to score before Kabamba was handed the opportunity to score when he met a Federico cross. Hampton’s second goal came early in the second half. Ollie Treacher fouled Federico, giving away a penalty. Craig King saved Sinclair’s spot-kick but couldn’t stop Sinclair following in to score with King unable to respond. Federico almost scored a minute later but his first-time effort went straight at King. Hampton’s keeper Smith barely had a shot to save until the 83rd minute when ex-Beaver Joe Turner got into a good position. A minute later Hampton wrapped up the points, Lowe cut in from the left side and then caught the Police defence and keeper out with a precise curling shot which flew past King’s left hand into the net.
