Not one to linger long in the memory with plenty of changes, trialists and roasting hot conditions punctuated by hydration breaks (we used to call them drinks breaks until only recently). Starting XI was signed players plus two trialists, one a CF from the Hanworth game and LB Harrison Sodje who was at Dover last season. Unusually all the trialists were named over the tannoy but I wasn't quick enough to note them all down. No Max K or Mike Atkinson today. We didn't look all that together and in both halves Carshalton had the better territorial possession and more goal attempts. Our one decent move resulted in an easy head in for RGC to lead 1-0 at HT. New signing Hassan was given a freer role behind the two CFs and looked our best player, but not exactly a half of flowing football. Lots of changes in the second half with only recognised names, Fernandez, Mullins, Mather and Ince. Of the trialists No20 at centre back looked ok but not sure if we need another CB given signings to date. Ince played CB again and showed a bit of class at times but again wonder if we need him to play there and whether he might step back into midfield at some point. Of the others I can't say that anyone caught my eye.

Heard from someone at the game that Ibrahim Jalloh made an appearance off the bench.

Interesting - I thought Jalloh always looked useful for us.
I think Im right in saying he got injured quite early last season and then pretty much disappeared without any announcement?
(Looks like it might have been 2nd game of the season - went off in 7th minute)

Yes I think it was quite early on and I'd agree about looking as if had some promise. Looked like something fairly innocuous at the time but clearly there was a lot more to it.

As far as I'm aware, they might be mistaken with a Carshalton player called Amadu Jalloh who's a trialist.

A game that was low quality, we walked away with a win from a RGC header. Ibrahim Jalloh wasn't present, and we looked solid if unremarkable.

Yeah very forgettable from both sides. We still look defensively solid and tough to break down.
