Onto our third home game on the trot! This like the Enfield game, is one we need to win. They are surprisingly struggling this season and there are rumblings on their forum about changing the manager (hope not this week to avoid the new manager bounce!). Jeffers is still there and seems to start on the bench recently.
As for our team, Curd is not available so will Davies be given his debut or will we get in a temporary loan. Hopefully Atkinson will be fit but not sure about Revan as he went off early last week. Campbell should also be available as he was brought on last week.
Might get some news soon?
St Albans here on Saturday.

Again this Saturday it will seem an old boys reunion. Apart from Jeffers, Iffy Allen and Sam Deadfield are in their squad. Looking at their stats, Sam is leading their most booked player!

Dan Bowry is also in their squad, another ex-Beaver.Shepperton Supporter wrote: Fri Oct 11, 2024 10:28 am Again this Saturday it will seem an old boys reunion. Apart from Jeffers, Iffy Allen and Sam Deadfield are in their squad. Looking at their stats, Sam is leading their most booked player!
Once again the manager makes reference in his preview to difficulties facing the side in the last couple of weeks but the interviewer fails to ask what they were. Presumably we are not allowed to know so hard to judge whether any mitigation should be given for tomorrow’s performance. Probably best not to bring it up if supporters aren’t going to be told what is going on.

Completely agree with this. Anyone have any idea what's happened? Something to do with training perhaps? I know these interviews are never going to be on the Paxman level but a little more illumination would surely be OK.Tony wrote: Fri Oct 11, 2024 6:54 pm Once again the manager makes reference in his preview to difficulties facing the side in the last couple of weeks but the interviewer fails to ask what they were. Would agree with this.Tony wrote: Sat Oct 12, 2024 9:24 am They are largely uninformative. Other clubs seem quite happy to give transfer and injury updates in some detail. Not sure why we feel the need to be so secretive.

You really don't learn anything from them at all, other than how they are a great group of players, how good the dressing room is etc. I don't blame Alan Julian, he can only answer the questions asked of him, but I'd rather have a bit more real content as a opposed to videos on how players look with their faces "mashed up" (is that the correct yoofspeak expression??) etc. Not knocking any of the people in charge of our social media but at the moment it's hard not to feel like the club is keeping things unnecessarily close to it's chest.

It might be that there are just not the staff available to give the content that folk would like. It might be that certain things are happening that currently are under wraps. Might learn later?
